Does any company make a strap on temperature guage that has a range of 50 F to 250 F ? I would like to attach it to my supply side pipe of my hydronic system.

Thank you
jim

    A few that I like

The Azel is a handy dual temperature gauge to read supply and return, or outside temperature, or what ever you need. Battery or 24Vpower, about 500 feet of wire allowed. http://www.azeltec.com/

The Taylor battery powered single is from the Graingers catalog.

These stick temps from Watts Radiant are very handy. Peel the back and stick them on. Color and temperature readings.

there are a few with a spring that lashes them to a pipe....

i have used them as a tool in the past and they are something your local plumbing distributor would most likely have........ Hot Rod has alot of cool links to tools and devises along many lines of hydronic endavours,...one of the links he has is to a company that makes a gizmo that you may zip tie to the supply and return and it will give you a number on a LCD screen of supply return and the variation of the two just to make life easy (no math requirements to operate the thing) :) *~/:)i see if i can find it for you...

    strap on temp guage

Thank you Hot Rod. I have been searching for this item for a couple of days now with no success. I just finished ordering the dual sensor from azel. I should have come to the wall right away instead of wasting my time elswhere.

    A powerful troubleshooting tool

that Azel is. Especially for the price! It captures high and lows and is useful for watching delta t at boilers, radiant manifolds, even individual radiant loop. Nothing like watching and knowing delta t through a system to pinpoint problems. Hard to deny the numbers :)

    gauges

Ihave some that plug right to my electric meter from FieldPiece very handy. Stadler/Viega has some that strap right on non electronic. We use them all the time and frequently leave them on the system. The base has a spring that goes around the pipe. For permant installs we solder them on under 30$ I think.
