Favorite Thermometer

your favorite thermometer for use on your piping panels. Are they strap on bulb, or immersion well. Are they analog or digital. I asked a local supply house what they carried and they brought out some 12 inch high chiller thermomters. I don't think so. Piping my own panel for my house and want to plaster them everywhere that is pertinent. I'm putting flow meters on it too. My own Xmas present to play with all Winter long. WW

Thermometers
I like Letro stainless thermometers. They come either 1/2"MIP or with 1/2" solder wells. Failure rate of 5%, but a decent buy for $25. For ultra projects, I use the Weiss digital-solar. Lists for $185.

Wayne, why not use P/T (petes) plugs, cheap and IMO more accurate over the long haul. bob0 -
Can you guys give me a lead
on where to find these items. I live in a forced air neighborhood and supply houses just aren't set up for hydronics. WW

how about
Johnstone Supply I think they are nationwide. bob0 -
Either
RE Michel or Sid Harvey would have these items, I would think.
Trerico thermometers are the best made, IMO, but they are not cheap, and they have their own wells that have a different thread. I believe it's referred to as an NIST thread, so, if one were to break, you'd need another $75 Trerico, or you would have to change the immersion well.
