    Dole Vent Replacement

    I would like to replace my old vents because they are old and some leak steam. It also takes my radiators about 90 minutes to start getting hot. Just read We Got Steam and this seems like a good first step after checking my pressuretrol.

    I now have Dole 1A valves. What is a good replacement for these valves? Hoffman or Dole again? Adjustable or fixed?

    main vents

    I would replace the main vents first. Hoffman #75 or Gorton #2. There are folks on the wall who can tell you exactly what main vent size you will need based on the length of your main and the diameter of the main line.
