Viessman VitoGas 100-29 Shutting down

Folks
I have a Viessman VitoGas 100-29 Propane boiler. It has been very cold. Range of -23 to +20. The last few days I have found the unit shut down and and the auto flue damper open. I just power down and up and unit runs fine. Baseboard copper fin throughout house. 3 zones one for Vitocell 100 DHW and other two for heat zones. Heat Curve set at 1.4 Right now the boiler is heating water to about 165. Any suggestions.
Happy Holidays to you and your families.

Any Fault codes?
Are you using the Vitotronic 200? If so, any fault codes? Rebooting the computer may clear the fault, but I'd call Viessmann tech services on Monday and have them run some diagnostics over the phone.

Thanks Paul
Yes I do have the vito 200 control. It is not showing any fault codes.

Damper
Have you run through the diagnostic scan? Make sure the damper opens and closes during the scan. I've seen bad damper motors/end switch.

Sounds like
It could be a wiring problem (highly unlikely on a Viessmann) or you may have a bad vent damper that is failing to close when the burner is off. I think that there is a manual overide switch on the damper motor. This could be set to maintain the damper in an open position constantly. If the boiler doesn't lock out when you do this, you've isolated your problem.0 -
no gas?
That boiler does not like low gas pressure at all. Up here in N.E. where our natural gas supply is very limited we have issues with them going out like that. maybe withyour extreeem cold your sucking it out of your propane tank tooo quickly and it can"t boil off?

The Vitogas is very sensitive to high gas pressures if your field installed regs allow any excess pressure through when the boiler gas control closes, the vitogas control will lockout. Check the gas pressure on the boiler as it is firing and watch when the boiler gas valve closes if you get a jump in your gas pres. the next time the boiler attempts to fire it will lockout. Essentially what I am trying to explain is you are possibly getting a gas hammer(water hammer in plumbers terms)
Hope this helps0
