hydronic control overkill?

one of my best church customers has an antiquated control system,(robertshaw-commercial),and was quoted 25K to just upgrade it.I have looked at it and it is a hardwired system only about 20 years old.As complex as it looks its just 5 fan coils with hot water coils and 3-way valves and outdoor condensing units and circ pumps,I should be able to simplify this shouldnt I?

    There are controls...

    And the there are CONTROLS.

    Need more info before commenting.

Details about what's there now, distances involved, strategies existing, designs involved with new system and level of sophistication of new system, etc.

    sounds like too much, but...

I am not looking at the system and not talking to people about the new requirements.

Mike mentioned tecmar, which would be a solid choice. I am quite impressed with Caleffi iRadiant controls. They seem to be just a great fit for the lower end commercial work like what you are describing. I haven't installed one, but the flexibility of the system is what made me think it perfect for the a setup that could grow and change as building use does.

Commercial/industrial controls can be frightfully expensive even for small installs.

By the title of the thread, I thought you were adressing me. :)

    Caleffi sounds good to me.

at least take a look at it. some control jobs are bit pricey could be the pneumatics are a good chunk of whats not happening right with them...maybe they have included large items like control pannels or upgrades to the electrical room....hard to divine stuuf at a distance :) A?
