Talked with this nice lady today. Hope you have time to help her out. I sat through Dans seminar, "The lost art of Steam heating" this week. Wish I knew enough to go play with this steam system and figure out the problems. Hope all is well with you and yours this holiday. Wayco Wayne

Looking for contact info for STEAMHEAD from Woodbine, MD

I am trying to find Steamhead located in Woodbine, MD, he was recommended to me by Wayne Crump of Wayco A/C & Heating from Gaithersburg. I have a gas fired steam furnace, and Wayne Crump said the answers to my questions/problems can be found by talking to Steamhead. Please give me a contact telephone number or email address for Steamhead located in Woodbine, Maryland. As of now, my furnace/radiators are not working, so a quick response would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    M.C.Maden

    Here I am!

Got home a bit late. Perfectly OK to call the house in the evening, (410) 466-8116. The Lovely Naoko doesn't mind.

Thanks, guys. You know I'd do the same for you.

    The Lady and her Boiler

Never seen one quite like this. It's a U.S. Radiator Co. 25-4, and it looks like it has vertical flueways much like a modern boiler with a pinned heat exchanger.

This unit had an oil burner long ago but was converted to gas using a Roberts-Gordon burner. I don't think it ever burned coal, unless the plate with the puff door in it was added later.

We're going to get this system working just like the Dead Men intended.

    Thanks for the help, guys.

    We're lucky

to have someone to recommend that knows this stuff so well. This lady knows what she has and loves the idea of steam heat. She even has Dans book and is all read up, but she couldn't find someone to work on it and get it going. She was even considering switching to hot water. Frank, let us know what it took to get it going. I would like to learn. You never know. Happy Holidays to all. WW
