Domestic Hot water ?

My friend and neighbor was having problems with his oil burner. The unit would fail to fire. It was old and his oil company came out many times to try and fix it but eventually h got a new riello (SP) burner. The problem he is having noe is that he seems to have much less domestic hot water. he has a tankless coil, which when his old unit was operating would produce enough hot water for him. Now he says he does not feel he has enough, especially in his upstairs. the kitchen sink seems to have enough but he cant get one shower in. Assuming that the tech did not lower the temp of the boiler water what could cause this? Any thoughts?

    no hot water

The only logical response, without any more information, is the possibility that the new burner is under fired, or not set up properly. Riellos fire at a higher pressure than the older burners, and they may have downfired, thinking the added pressure would compensate. Make sure the burner is producing sufficient BTU's for the load without exceeding manufacturer's spec on max input.
