Will this work for a recirc line. The black pipes are there and are 1/2". I would like to recirc the line. If I added the red line, check and circ would this work. Any input would be helpful thanks

    Nope

There's no path for the hot water in the tank to make it into the loop when no hot water is being drawn. Tie that ½" line back into the tank drain connection and pump the other direction.

    OK

If I pipe into the tank and not use black pipe (use copper instead. Will this work? I have done this before but not with 1/2" copper (mostly 3/4" copper with 1/2" recirc line). I was not going to run black pipe it just looked better in paint. The last run would be 60 feet away Right now it is only 20 to 30 feet long. How much presure would I give up by conecting the ends and making the longer run? The recirc would get the water hot but I worry about the presure drop. thanks again ......
  • That's the way

I just piped a recirc system at my sister's house . The boiler and coil are about 75 running feet away and it was a chore to get a 1/2 pex line out there . Very slight pressure drop at the sinks , barely noticable .

Are you going to run the bronze pump contiuous ? We bought a $10 plug in timer , and are using a 4006A to control the pump . Works great .

    recirc

I have a 2107 that is dying to be more usefull. Just changed it to constant circ on the heat side and would like to fix the time it takes to get hot water at the tub. The lt-160 indirect is more than enough hot water sooooo why not. thanks again......
