If one of you have a chance, could you post a drop header pic? I'm trying to help someone out. Thanks

I too have D.H.D. ..............................................
That's DRP HEader Disease. I can't help myself, even when I really don't need one, I do it because it gives more piping options when you are piping. e.g., If its late and you don't have exactly the right nipple you need, the swing of the joints are very accomodating. Besides, you can't beat the dry steam she puts out. Sorry for the sideays pic. Mad Dog0 -
How's about this puppy......We used 4\" fittings for it
they were a fortune. This might be the first drop header I ever did. It was my church's boiler and they had the local meatball outfit put it in. It was an atrocious job. We repiped the whole thing. Mad Dog0 -

Here's one
Here's one where the two system takeoffs were directly above the concrete pad and between the risers. The flexibility of the drop header allowed everything to stay where it was while the takeoffs were not piped between the risers. To you purists, I apologize in advance for the malleable street 90s and reducing couplings.

No need
to apologize - malleable fittings are perfectly acceptable in steam applications . Nice work Tom .0 -
4\"
Why is it 4"? Seems like overkill. Just wondering not arguing. Could it be done in 2" or do you have to bump it up for a drop header? I've Never done one.0
