*~/:) nothing wasted and very clean.

You fell for the propress totally huh? :) it does look clean, something a guy could work on with a minimal of limbo tactics to get in to change a recirc etc. or ear balancing while spinning a 36" wrench in one hand while pulling thier hair out with the other:)) i think its about time the service guys sent you a dollar for putting systems in that they can work on. of course whats there to ever have to do with quality parts , designe and workmanship? It looks like someone thought about keeping everything straight and adding "dimension"...plenty of unistrut bolting everything down...nothing wasted and very clean.

    Manifold

It is a Roth, I took this job over after another heating contractor got fired and they had allready installed Roth in the basement and I wanted to keep it all the same, I usually use Wirsbo.

    Grundfos

We are trying somthing a little different on this job, we are not using a differential pressure by-pass instead we are using a varriable speed pump that takes a 0-10vdc input to ramp up and down as zones open and close, it uses a differencial pressure transducer to monitor pressure, and yes that is a 80 gallon buffer we have 18 zones and some are verry small.
Thanks for the kind word on our work.

    Questions re: VSP Gruntfos...

Hi Stacey, Whose pressure transducer are you using?

Where are you referencing pressure differential?

How did you adjust it (what did you adjust it to)?

    Nice work.

    Multicore

Yes we use multicore for all of our supply and return piping, with lower head losses and no fittings between the boiler room and manifolds it is a good choice.

    Pressure Transducer

    Mark,

The pressure transducer that we are using is from Veris Industries, the pressure is being monitored before and after the pump and the transducer has three pressure settings 5psi,10psi and 20psi the max system head corresponds to just under 5psi in this system.

    If only grundfos

would send some of their european pumps over here, we wouldn't need to cobble this stuff up. They have both smaller and larger VS pumps with integrated pressure sensors and controls.

    grumble...

    Grundfos

It would be nice it took me three weeks to track down this pump, I called grundfos about ten times and they would send me spec's on the Miximizer instead and then when I ordered it they shiped the wrong one, I don't even want to get started on the great time I had finding a pressure transducer that would work.
