I'm stumped

I'm stumped. which ain't too hard some days.
Two infloor loops. returns .4deg. diff. Why then is the floor temp 10 deg. diff. in area of one loop. Other room which is almost identical is o.k.
Floor has two inches of foam both under and perimeter.
Contractor is going to search tru pics for clues.
any guesses?

can you add some more construction details
Steve,
If I read this right, you have two loops, one with a delta T of say 10 and the other with say 10.4. Technically, that doesn't say they are giving up the same heat, just they the heat/flow ratio is the same. On the other hand, given similar construction and load, slower flow should produce a wider delta T.
So the best first guess is that the heat for one loop is going elsewhere than the floor. What are the construction details of the two loops?
Remember, with insulation there is what was speced and what was installed. I came across a rule of thumb number that a 5% void in insulation will produce a 50% loss in overall insulation effectiveness. IMO, insulation is more about careful details than masses in the walls.

Air
Are the two rooms on two different loops? Could it be air in the loop that is 10* cooler? you can still have flow and have identical delta T. Are floor coverings identical between the two rooms?0 -
When?
seriously ...When ? it was 35 below at the house a few days ago...continious circulation,....return temps 80 degrees F..........its -2 today..........76 degree water constant circulation...74 degree room temp i know this is decadent American of me however i like a warm room when i come in from the freezing cold. what kind of control and how many individual loops per zone?0 -
Kinda like walking into the containment vessel at a nuke plant, -35 to 74* aHHH the radiation is so soothing. ;00 -
sorry I took so long to get back to you'all but two hours after posting I was unexpectedly in the hospital and having a Gall Bladder removed.
The insulation was installed by a very competent grew. Tight fits all around. Hard pack road base with alittle sand for the dips so foam wouldn't crack.
The two loops are 6 inch center. the foam is blue board. 2inch. Each of the two rooms are near identical.
My first thoughts go to the heat sink idea like a mono pour but that ain't it.
If the gc can find pic it may help but this was a three year project so lots of pictures!
And I did incresae pump size to get more heat(and did) yet difference between loops stayed.
Thanks for any help and ideas, Steve0
