Speaking of pricing

Most equipment manfacts have had 3 price increases this year with more scheduled for January. The cost of an oil tank has almost doubled , price of flat stock trippled. Fuel costs 50% more . That doesn't even begin to cover insurance etc. So how come NONE , not ONE , 0 , Zilch, Nada of my competition has raised thier prices to reflect thier added cost. Hello any of you listening! Are we the dumbest group of biusness people on the planet or what? 2+2=3?

Let the shakeout begin!

We've modified pricing on all contracts closed, but in delay mode. We contacted the clients and advised them of the price increases and they willingly agreed to pay the difference. Those who don't take a careful look at profit dollars in relation to material costs (or any costs) usually fall through the cracks. But Wait!! There will always be more to take there place. I wouldn't be surprised to see prices in the HVAC trades jump another 20% by June 1.

Its insane. We raised our hourly rate.

It funny because people still think they should only pay half of what we are charging. They want to pay prices from years ago, for boiler and furnace swap outs.
