Pressure Build Up

I'm just a homeowner, but here goes:

1) Does the system have an expansion tank?
2) Do you perhaps have a automatic feeder valve that may be malfunctioning and hence trying to pressurize the system to the city water pressure?

    Pressure Build Up

My friend & I converted an old Levitt radiant system to baseboard. We rerouted the 1/2" merge feed from the boiler to the only supply for the baseboard to allow for the added heat required. Problem is the pressure continues to creep up to over 20lbs. We first adjusted the regulator to no avail and then replaced it and the escape valve. The pressure again creeps up over hours. Any ideas. Thanx in advance.

It does have an expansion tank and the automatic feeder(water supply) is attached to the regulator which we first adjusted and then replaced.

Is your circulator before or after your expansion tank and/or air elimination device?

The expansion tank is on the return. The pump is also on the return right before it returns to the bottom of the boiler. The Levitt boilers are wedged up to the ceiling so the piping is upside down, i.e. return comes up first, t's with the expansion tank and then goes down to the pump and return into the boiler.

    Have you bled everything?

Air in your branches will cause this; that or a faulty feed system. I would check that every single rad is hot and at nearly the same temperature as anything else in that zone or across the system.
