Our first oil in years...
taking out oil for oil. I'm disappointed, this would have been such an easy job to change to pumping away but the installer screwed up and didn't. He got confused and looked in W-M's instructions. They suggest pump on the supply on top of the boiler so that's what he did.
Each section of baseboard is Tee'd into the main supply loop, was murder to bleed afterwards. Took forever to heat the baseboards up as opposed to what we normally see with the 180 degree water going straight through the fintube.0 -

Pressures were fine the first night. Are you worried about his tying the fill into the return?0 -
Just a suggestion
Why don't you remove the airscoop. Move the expansin tank to a tee directly under the circulator, this could hang vertically off the side with a 1/2 nipple and elbow. Replace the 3/4 cap on the boiler with an airvent. And re-do the return, you could just cut out the copper section and flip it over. This way you'd be pumping away and I bet it would almost bleed itself. Nothing against the pipework of the installer, he just doesn't understand the importance of each components location.0
