    GE as a WH brand was invented by the Home Despot marketing department. Manufactured by Rheem/Ruud currently. Doubt it is an exclusive, HD could probably drop them at the bat of an eye.

    Whirlpool is another private label. Dunno who makes it. The quickest way to tell is to walk up to the unit and see where the manufacturing location is... then correlate it back to real brands like State, AO Smith, American, Bradford-White, or Rudd/Rheem.

    Last I heard

    State water heaters was the manf of the Whirlpool brand heaters.
