Superior Boilers

Looking for some general info relative to Superior Boilers.
Which Burners give the best efficiency? I have visited a couple lately with EZ-1's, and having difficulty getting even 80% efficiency due to high stack temps. Also, several
customer complaints about rumbling shutdowns that I can only
seem to cure with opening the flame view door slightly.
Any other tech experience would be really appreciated. I have tried down firing with some improvement, but still not
getting eff i would expect. Also, to get over fire draft
to -1 or -2, breech must be no more than -3,-4.

Am I way off base on this, or is it the nature of the machine?

    I set up a 3 section last year with a Beckett and a power venter. This year when I P/M'ed it, it was still very clean. Also pretty easy to clean. I installed a nozzle in a 4 section this week 1.1gph 60* A with a carlin burner. This nozzle was recommended by Carlin. I got 0 smoke but excess air was 42% which I think is high for a newer boiler. Niether boiler was noisier than others I service.

    I like the burner door hinged on both sides.
