Have a customer who installed their own staple up hydronic tubing under hardwood floors. What is the maximum temperature he should run to avoid any damage to the floors?

80 deg
You'll be ok as long as you keep your floor surface temp. below 80 degrees.0 -
Also
humidity has a big part in the health of wood floors. Wide swings in the humidity level in the house will show up in the wood flooring.
Todays tight homes can present challanges in maintaining a wood friendly level.
HVR units are becoming almost a "must have" to maintain air quality and humidity levels.
Some days you need to add humidty, some days you may have to remove. Depends on your climate also.
Most of the wood flooring manudfactures have good info at their websites.
www.launstein.com is a very progressive "pro radiant" heat, hardwood manufacture. They do a lot of onsite testing at their facility, and seem to be one of the more knowledgable wood flooring companies.

MAKE SURE YOU USE 1/4 SAWN (CROSSCUT)WOOD, INSTEAD OF PLAIN SAWN. ALSO SOME SPECICIES ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS, OAK, CHERRY, SO ON.
