Horizontal H2O flow indicator?

I'm wondering if anybody knows of a flow meter designed to install into a horizontal (staple-up radiant) piping job. The supply & return manifolds (copper and plastic) are up close to floor joists, so I don't have much rooom for the usual vertical flow meters; I understand the prinicple of operation requires vertical flow against gravity, but I'm hoping there's a compact type somewhere for tight spots like I have. System is currently not balanced.
