Taco 007 Pump ???

in THE MAIN WALL
Can this pump be mounted vertical, meaning the pump portion is facing up. Someone is telling me that it can't.

    The installation instructions....

    ....specify that the pump shaft (cartridge, in this case) should be in the horizontal position. Mounting it as you are suggesting could end up in premature pump failure.

    Pump Orientation

    The flow direction can be vertical or horizontal. Taco specifies horizontal mounting in the instruction sheet, and it's the motor orientation not the casing of the pump they are referring too. For your reference I attached the instruction sheet.Taco, Inc.
