Buderus Room Sensor Error -- Anybody Know?

The wiring between the 2107 and the BFU is polarity sensitive. Check the manual for both pieces to see if you have it correct.

I'm assuming that this is a new install that has not operated properly, not one that had been working and failed.

Buderus Room Sensor Error -- Anybody Know?

I've got a Buderus R2107 Logamatic control with matching BF Room Sensor (for control of the constant circ zone). Am getting a "Remote 1 Err" readout at the control, and the RoomTemp shows as "---".

There are no lights showing at the BF Room Sensor. I checked for continuity on the wiring to the sensor and it checks out.

Should the Room Sensor be getting 24V from the connections at the R2107 controller? I'm concerned the transformer may be shorted on the 2107 controller.

I did check the polarity and it seems to check out.

The install is new, but it had been working okay. I relocated the BF room sensor to another zone, and when I restarted it I encountered the problem. In the meantime the boiler operates okay and the zone gets flow, it's just that the BF sensor is disabled.

    BFU

The Room sensor has to be turned on in the Service level of the control. If it is turned on try switching the wires on the BFU. The R2107 BFU works on resistence, not 24 volt. If there are any questions please call us at 1-800-283-3787 when you are in front of the control and we can help check the programming.
