of mixing unit is that. Looks like a Grundfos from the color. Nice job.

We have installed several Revolutions over the past 2 years, yes they are a nice boiler.

    Pat,

it is a taco RMB-1, my partener, who builds most of the panels, is a manic for presentation. When he had the cover off, he painted it so that it wouldn't be out of place with the circs! LOL!

    Beautiful layout

Excellent job!! That is one excellent layout. Your man did an incredible job and the small detail is what make's it a million..:)
  • Either the ceiling is pretty low

or the Revolution and indirect are HUGE . Very nice work Leo and partner . I love the clean look of minimal piping near the boiler , and the wall panel work is tops .

OK , who picked out the color yellow ?

    Nice clean work!

well done. I have a couple installed. Very happy with the service, over 4 years now. Early models had some bugs, should be gone by now.

They do run HOT. 210°F block to allow that injection mix to work. In one install in a small room, we had to get some air movement, and ventilation, as the room got very hot. May be an issue with that injection pump in such a hot enviroment. Although mine have held up fine. Be nice to see a Viessmann quality block insulation package added :) Plenty of room under that unique shaped jacket.

  • Nice job Leo

I'll bet its a relief to get out of that basement and straighten up for a while. Looks to be about 5 feet tall! Which kind of venting option have you chosen for this one?

    Thanx everyone!

Ron, the colour of course was my parteners choice, last time I checked he was still using Tremclad rust paint! Says that it is the closest he has found yet to Ferrari Yellow! LOL!!!

    Glenn,

we don't do the gas or venting, usually the homeowner or contractor already has somebody on site to install the fireplaces, fans etc. We just get them the information, and try to guide them in a nice install. This one should be about a five foot vertical, then about a two foot horizontal sidewall.

Another first for us on this project, is that the owner is installing Bekotec pads for our main floor and upper loops. I'll post some pics of that install when we are done.

The buddy of yours made the presentation :)

by tricking the minds eye with the paint on the RMB it makes it look like someone has this Huge Grundfoss RMB :)) I love it :) The Yellow States the heat:) some times a dash of paint doesnt hurt sometimes it hides some minor technicalities here it puts the work into another dimension:)

    Being John Malkovich?

Did you guys need to hire Munchkins to install this boiler? My neck starts to hurt just looking at it!

Beautiful install though, with an eye for detail and elegance.
  • wouldn't that be...

... a conflict of interest, using Munchkins to install a Burnham? LOL

Actually my neck was fine, and I only hit my head once, but my knees were certainly happy to get out of there after two days of crawling around.

    Thanks for the compliment.
  • I was thinking

the same thing, but I'm glad you said it instead! Nice install by the way and have a great weekend "streching out" a bit!

for those gnarly crawl space jobs

try a piece of InsulTarp, white side up. Even 1" foamboard. Much easier than wearing kneepads all day long. The white side really brightens up the work area. Just don't lay any hot fittings down on it :)

  • kneepads??

no wonder my knees were sore! LOL

It's not so much wearing the kneepads that hurts, it's having bent knees all day. I did treat myself to sitting on a five gallon pail to do most of the wiring though :o)

I've used styro SM before, but find that I still end up kneeling on balls of solder, tools, screws etc, not to mention falling off the edge ;o) and it reduces headroom by that little bit more. Maybe I'll let Leo do the next crawlspace job heh heh.

    Have you see those little

    carts the carpet installer use.

It's a small cart on casters with sort of a bicycle shaped seat, two sockets for you knees, and a small tool tray. they use them to install the carpet tack strip. Looks more comfortable than kneepads and more manuverable. cute looking little rigs.

    Something every tool addict needs.

    Low spaces

Grab an old office chair and rip the back off and rollaround on that. It works GREAT !! Just have to make sure he floor is clean. If you don't have the height then go with a mechanic's creeper, also works GREAT !
