Stadler ClimatePanels / Wirsbo QuickTrack

Hi All,
I've been looking at floor radiant for a remodel and was pretty much sold on using Stadler Climate Panels (aka Wirsbo Quick Trak), but a friend referred me to another contractor who claimed his experiences with these systems was spotty at best. He said they were often noisy. I mentioned you were supposed to use silicon to adhere the tubing to the panels, but he said that didn't solve the problem.
Is this correct? Can a proper installation be quiet, and if so, is it that difficult to get it right?
This contractor recommended staple up instead. Which is fine for some parts of my house, but not all.
Thanks ahead of time.

i have them in my house. not a peep. floors feel great. they were put in a sunroom for auxiliary heat(heat loss was performed for this) and at the same time we put them in several other rooms for floor warming.
only thing my wife would not give up if we built again. she reminds me every day about being too cheap to do it when we built(we retrofited) and how she lost her chance for radiant floors in the master bath. actually now that its getting cold in boston, twice a day.
funny how when we have people over in the winter they are "amazed" at our warm floors....i would say VERY FEW people are aware that this form of heating exists.0 -
Avoiding Squeeks and Noise
Make sure you use either a mixing valve or injection mixing on outdoor reset to avoid any noise, when piping in the zones. Use of zone valves/TStats only can be a potential problem. Wirsbo has a 3-way Belimo setup that works well and can be wired into a Buderus Logamatic 2107 or Tekmar control.

I have done at least 10 houses with it, never heard a peep or a squeak. Your friend must have an issue with the installation or extreme temperature change.
I would recommend it, just follow the directions.0
