Vision 1 & 2 costs

I am a homeowner interested in the Vision 2 controls for a new system I am having installed. It is a rehab with a mix of radiators, in floor radiant and under floor radiant so the controls seem ideal. The Vision 2 premium seems to be in the controler and the mixing valves. About how much is the Vision 2 controller and how much are the valve actuated mixing valves. Thank you, Mark

We dont talk about prices here Mark. If you have minor questions about the price of components, than you may not be comfortable with your heating contractor. Straighten that out first.

    Vision 2

Is that Taboo? A ballpark range doesn't seem like it should cause anyone grief. I am researching my options before selecting a contractor and cost is a consideration. I am trying to determine if there is a significant premium associated with the Vision 2 system. The costs of the equipment seem like a reasonable place to start.
    Thanks, Mark

    Vision?

Is that the Calefie system or something different?

Vision is a Heat Transfer Products Munchkin product.

And Mark, no its not taboo, but there are plenty of boilers, radiant systems and controls out there. You should be trying to find the person most qualified to deal with you heating needs. Not just shop around for the parts.

    have munchkin

Fair enough- but I have a Munchkin 80 still in the wrap that is leftover from another project so I am focused on what HTP has to offer that specifically intergrates with the Munchkin. I am also curious about the Wirsbo ProPanel systems that integrate some of the boiler room basics with similar but "universal" controls.

The Vision controls are specific to the HTP product. No other control system can interface with your Munchkin boiler.

As stated earlier, we do not discuss pricing here for many reasons.

The HTP system is THE BEST for what you have.

If pricing is an issue now, you need to talk to your installation contractor.

    Respectfully,

you have to buy it throught a vision certified contractor

    Mark,

It's not taboo but it's pretty close on talking costs here.

The vision options have to be bought through a vision certified installer. It's HTP's decision that to reduce the number of installation problems you have to sit through the training to be allowed to buy/install these beasts. Given some of the dead parts they get back from bad installs, I can see their point.

From my reading the vision controls are for the Munchkin..

the costs of operation is the main determinant in the reasoning, the inital cost is alother thing entirely. The manufactures spend the time to teach the whys and wherefores of the system to a group of people who have demonstrated considerable interest in thier product,so much so that they pay for the opportunity on top of the time to educate their personnel on that specific system..it isnt for everyone sort to speak, none of us Know What the happy home owner will be doing to the dials and lights when they turn thier back and arent there, therefore theres a limit to just how much "Adjustments" the Happy homeowner may make...for that "peace of mind " the contractor is willing to go the extra time and effort to buy into the vision control system. as to what does it cost?i am going to say it Depends.....
