nice fab work!
Any way to get a globe valve in the injection loop for better adjust-ability? Depending on your load you may have to throttle away a bit of that pumps capacity.
You may also need a check valve in that injection bridge. Use a Grundfos with the intergral check valve for ease of install. Pump away my friend

hot rod
Thanks HR,
I am using flow check valves on both return and supply of the secondary.
The ball valve works fine on my radiant system to throttle back, to ramp up the pump. It does take a little tweaking.
I don't like to use up the basement for a lot of plumbing. (G)

How will it be installed?
It will be mounted on the floor joists above the boiler. You are looking at the bottom of the unit. The 1 1/4" unions (left in photo, pointing up, will be pointing down) connect to the boiler, the closest is the return. The 2" section on the left side of the photo is the primary. The primary pump is mounted on the boiler return. No pumping away, I am keeping the original compression tank.
The pump isolator and the temp ball valve on the 11/2" section, (secondary} right side, are return and supply for the monoflo (1 1/4") and baseboard (1") wings of the house.
Comments or questions? Appreciated,

Retiring after 59 years of service.
I can't push it under the stairs.
Any one want it? Must pick up at it's location. (G)

Is that a B&G isolation flange on the injection pump? The other pump looks like it has Webstone flanges.
Ron0 -
B&G?
Yes Ron,
My supplier has B&G for 1" isolator and Webstone for all others including isolator purge 1" ????
I like the B&G 360 flange feature nicely machined also.

Beautiful Al!
Being retired does have it's advantages I see.You get to putz around doing what you like.I must admit losing the GE is a bit of a downer.
I must agree with hot rod...........your injection should have a flow check and also the point with the globe valves.I'm sure you'll manage fine with the BV's.I know you've been around the block several times with it.Very nice clean fabricating.Proud papa.

Thanks Cheese,
Never stop learning, knowing and not doing is not knowing.
I wake up with ideas, hydronic ones that is.
There are days I don't know what I did but time sure fly's!

Al,
I forget where you live. A few folks I know may be interested in this G.E. - if it has the original compressor. Do you know why it is being removed?

Ken
Hi Ken,
It was converted to Carlin years ago. It functions well it is in good physical contrition. I need to get better efficiency @ current oil prices. It has been heating the atmosphere for close to 60 yrs.
Time to change, it's in one of my rentals. I'm in southern CT. I will be glad to load on your truck.
I'm looking forward to Minnesota.
I will email you on my current stats

Hi Al,
I have been wanting to use the B&G iso flanges for the rotating flange since I often use UPS15-58FC pumps that are 90 degrees rotated from TACO. No worries if I have to swap in a TACO on a horizontal run. Unfortunatly I haven't found them in stock anywhere. All of the good stuff is so hard to find, TACO ESP valves, Caleffi ect.
