Steam Bioiler \"Hissing\"

We have a 20 yr old Weil Mclain steam Boiler. There is a strange Hissing type sound which appaers to be coming form inside of the boiler. there is no water on the floor. No white smoke coming from th chimmney. Is ther a crack? A push nipple lekaing? any ideas

Take the cover off the top of your boiler (2 screws). Check between the sections on the upper right usually just behind the main supply pipe. I call it the 66 leak and have begun seeing alot of them lately0 -

Are you sure it's not coming from an air vent near the boiler?
Try and pinpoint it, it could simply be an undersized main vent, or it could be a section leak.0
