Black Stove Pipe for a Flue

Has anyone tried using black stove pipe for a flue? I believe it has a higher temperature rating than galvanized.

    Temperature is not your issue for fossil fuel vent connectors, corrosion is. Black Pipe has virtually no corrosion resistance. You would be lucky to get a single heating season in a typical basement installation. Don't do it.
