Yesterday was, as you know, veterans' day. As I watched some stuff on TV about vets, it occured to me I should take a minute to thank a vet & I made the call. He was pretty damned pleased I thanked him. And, I thought that was that.

Until this afternoon when I got a thank you call for the thanks. Seems he's been floating around on cloud-9 since last night's phone call. Who'd a thunk so much pleasure could come from one simple call that took about one minute! So, I called another vet today and thanked him too. Now he's floating on cloud-9.

Go ahead, make someone's day & give a vet a call to say thanks. Tomorrow I'm going to call the family of one who is on active duty & ask them to pass along my thanks. In two weeks, I'll be expressing my thanks to one who is being deployed (my nephew) before x-mas.

Your right David. A local radio guy here has a habit of thanking people when they call and say there are a Vet.

I decided to try it and you'd be suprised at the responce. Its a simple thing to do but an mean SO Much.

Next time some one says they served in the military, make sure and say Thank You.
