Should the bypass be above or below the circulator on the supply line?

For boiler protection after the circulator , for system temperment before the circulator..

In a 3 zone, 3 circulator system where would the bypass be located. Above which circulator or doesn't it make any difference?

Purpose is to prevent thermal shock to boiler

by having water that is too cool enter the system. System is a low mass cast iron Biasi with a 3.8 gal water content. System is in a split level with each level a diferent zone. Slant fin 30 baseboard installed with 4 baseboard units on each floor. Heat loss calculation of 37,663 BTU/hr using the Slant Fin program.

    You don't need a bypass(NM)

    Instructions

Read Biasi instructions, you don't have high mass radiation .If they insist pipe it Primary Secondary piping. Dan sells a book on the subjuct.

Jed mentioned you don.t need one. I myself is not familiar with a Biasi .

    it would be...

overkill to install a bypass...and if you insist you would need one after each circulator. You could use zone valves for such a small system and be fine. kpc
