Animat electronic OTC - HELP !!!!

Hello
I am just a simple English lady who has moved into a house in the South of France which has underfloor heating. There is a control box on the wall in the living room, for which we have no instructions, and seems to be somewhat complicated. I have searched the Web and can find nothing except for a distributor who seems to have gone out of business as the website or email don't work.
The only details on the control box are that it was made in Finland and it is Animat electronic OTC ?? It has a 24 hour / 7 day peg timer which seems to make sense and a switch which seems to indicate timer, day time, night time or off. It then has three sliders - on of which seems to correlate to a complicated graph with numbers 1 to 5, another which goes from -25 to +25 and a third which goes from 0 to - 25.
The boiler has an on/off switch, a sun/snowflake switch and a dial which goes through 0 to 80 and a temperature guage. A pencilled note on the cover says "Maxi - 45 to 50".
I cannot make the heat go on and off when I want, nor alter the floor temperature. I have worked out how to switch the different rooms on and off.
Can anyone please help me as the local plumbers or electricians or technical people seem also baffled by this box?
Any suggestions or advice on where I could obtain a manual or instructions on these kind of controls would be most appreciated.
Regards
Marianne

Amimat - Robert
Robert - thank you so much - have sent an email to Mike Taala but have heard nothing from him yet. Danfoss was one of the companies that came up when I searched, but I couldn't find anything similar on their site. The thing I forgot to mention is that the system is probably around 25-30 years old - and let's face it - technology has certainly moved on since then. I think the man was ahead of his time when he built the house and installed the system - used also to have solar panels to heat water and pool but they are now broken. C'est la vie, as they say down here.
Thanks again anyway for replying and here's hoping that someone can still help.
Kind regards

Bill - thanks so much for the contacts - too late to try tonight, but may do so tomorrow. Had a look at the website and don't know if they'll be able to help - as I said to Robert, the thing I omitted to mention was that the system is probably 25-30 years old - I'm sure the principles are the same, but things have moved on a tad since then !!! I'll try anyway.
Thanks again
Kind regards
