rather than 1-pipe, since that much condensate won't flow back thru a 3/4" valve. But I've found about a 3-foot length or less will work OK as 1-pipe. See "The Lost Art of Steam Heating" for piping diagrams.

    baseray-steam

Thinking of using burnham baseray for heat in new addition. One pipe steam, second fl. I see a problem with the 3/4" tapping. I am not sure how much steam and condensate can pass through a 3/4" angle valve? I do not see 3/4" angle valve listed in Dan's steam charts. Is this not practical? Of course the HO has a two section piece in their bath and claim it works fine. I have never used baseray with steam before.Thank you for you're input.
