Has anyone used the quantium 90 boiler. I installed the first one here only 3 days ago and the hot survace ignighter snaped off and the unit failed ,this was supplied to replace the lennox complete heat system , there are no parts in town yet and I cant match the ignighter to any other brand , it looks like there may have been a crack in the ignighter has a rusty spot at one side where its broken , the poor people have to wait untill friday for parts , no heat no hot water again , glad its not too cold yet here in Canada , the ignighter is about 3.5" long on the immersion side of the fire chamber before the flat ignighter is attached to the unit

    I've had

trouble with ignitors going bad. I supplied a spare ignitor when I installed the system since they are sooo differsnt. When I came back the first Winter on a Sat. night with no heat or hot water I found the ignitor bad. It's a bit hard to get the old one out and the new one in. I broke the spare trying to get it in and my response befouled the customers ears up on the next floor. I now bring dishwashing detergent to lubricate the ceramic of the ignitor. Have replaced 5 ignitors in the first 3 years, mostly due to a faulty air pressure awitch that would short cycle the ignitors when the water temp approached 180 degrees. It took me a while to catch that in action due to no diagnostics in the processor. I sell Munchkins now. WW

i just replaced my ignitor after 3 years .. it still lit ok, but the box didn't like the resistance ... you can use a wiel ignitor for sealed comb, and change the bracket
