remove valve, replace with tee [full size or reducing heel ]install vent in run of tee and provide steam radiator gate valve w/ union spud tailpiece and reconnect radiator.0 -
thanks...but
I don't have the room to move the radiator over to add the extra valve. Any other ideas?0 -

a Main Vent .... belongs ... on a Main ...,:-(0 -
You could
orient the bull of the tee away from the wall and install a close nipple in it, then screw the existing valve onto the nipple with the union pointing toward the radiator. Then hook the radiator up in the usual manner. The radiator will sit a bit further out from the wall but you won't have to move it to one side.
