Started this one at noon yesterday when the customer called for no heat. Dragged the old Teledyne out and set in the Burnham LE series. First time using this boiler but it definately fit. Ended up redoing the controls' to include the Taco 403. After getting it all set up come to find out the domestic tank is gone to...Now I need to find something to fit in it's place....

    Start measuring.

Unless you can find somewhere else to put the indirect, looks like you'll be shopping for a horizontal tank.

Was that an old Carlin indirect? If it is, that's got the record for longitivity . I think I tossed all the ones in the neighborhood about the 3rd year they were in. Good looking instal. How's your spine? Good luck. Chris

    scary

But that little boiler lasted about 22 years. The last indication of service was 6 years ago. Believe it or not it was not plugged nor leaking. The biggest issue was the fact it could not be purged. All of the gate valves had failed so the landlord decided to scrap it all and go new. As to the head banging.........OUCH!!! I stand 6'3" and the top of my head looks like the 7 dwarfs danced on it.
The water heater was a Carlin mini mite. It is the next thing to go as the coil was leaking, I am thinking the monitor 30 gallon will fit in just about the same foot print although I still have to look around...
    Thank's for the kind words!!

    ouch !

That opening makes it look like they have gophers.

How about putting the indirect upstairs and piping to it ?

Thats a tough job in a less then small place, good work.

That job calls for a cold one and well deserved. Hope the H.O. appreciates your work.

    Scott
