Insulating the Horizontals

I've been with my 98 yr old home for 5 yrs and thankfully knew to flush out the sludge and cleaned up the air vents in the one pipe steam system. Most of the horizontals leaving the boiler are still wrapped in asbestos but the vertical coming from the boiler and the returns were replaced with copper(prior to my arrival)---I know it should be steel but i'm working with what I've got since I can't afford to replace with steel. My questions is, should I do a fiberglass wrap down the vertical pipes to the top surface of the boiler?! All outputting horizontal pipes are already covered(including those with the asbestos wrap) Or would doing that be too much of a fire risk?! Many thanks for any & all advice. Myke
