I have a Burnham Series 2 boiller located in the basement and I'm having my harwood floors(first floor)finished with oil base polyurathane. Is it recommended to shut down the boiler because of the fumes? Thanks for the advice. -Ed

Shutting off boiler
YES
Shut it off, do not let the boiler operate while the floors are being finished. Also, ventilate the building properly and do not leave any other ignition sources present.
If you are doing this yourself, contact the manufacturer of the finish product that you are using for guidlines and details. READ and FOLLOW the instructions on the finish product that you are using. This is no joke.
