Pictures of Ductile Iron on boiler outlet. Opinions please?

I posted this a couple of weeks ago, without pictures. I have never seen ductile iron on a hydronic system, and need a definitive answer on whether it will stand up to the temperature fluctuations, etc. Any opinions out there?

    that's a new one...

on me...What is the operating range of the system? (press. and Temp.) Long term I would wonder about the cement lining. kpc

    hey

What is the problem ?...IMO it is the best stuff going. Do you have gasket issues?

    Ductile..

The installers probably had the stuff hanging around. I think extreme temperature swings would be bad but if the ph is ok, it will probably last 100 years. Robert O'Connor/NJ

    Pressure

Pressure operates about 30 PSI. Relief valve on boiler is 40 PSI. Boiler will operate about 140-160 degrees.

    Boiler

Boiler was installed last spring by others. I am not familiar with this type os pipe, and the majority of people I've asked, say it has to go, cause it will not withstand the temperature fluctuations. Our company recommended to the bldg. owner that he have it replaced with blcak iron.

    ductile Iron

I have seen steel pipe with victaulic fitts before, but gas selection must be right, also I mostly see these on lower temp heat pump loops with reheat boiler. I would really question the ductile pipe.
