more venting for larger radiators

I've read what Dan H. has to say about venting large radiators more than small ones on a one-pipe system.
How would (or could) you increase venting on a two-pipe system's 'large' radiator when there's one thermostatic trap on it?
What about adding a 'one-pipe' air vent?

Use
a trap that will pass more air. What's on there now?

It's a Warren-Webster 512HB housing.
The seat and bellows have just been replaced with a Barnes & Jones cage unit #1998.0 -
any ideas?0 -
Check for a
metering orifice in the radiator supply valve.

A TRV was installed some time ago, however, it is fully open.0 -

I am by no means qualified to give advice, however to quote from Dan's "We Got Steam Heat":
"Air vents have no business being on two-pipe radiators. These radiators have steam traps and an air vent can hide the symptoms of a failed steam trap, causing you big problems down the road as water hammer tears your system apart. Never let anyone add air vents to your two-pipe radiators."0 -
Took me a while, sorry
Try the Barnes & Jones #122 angle trap. I've used this several times on larger radiators. It has a bigger cage unit than the typical one used for rebuilding older traps, so it should pass more air.

no apology necessary.
I would assume then that 2 Gorton #2s will vent more than one Hoffman #75?
Thanks for your help Steamhead.

Yes
one Gorton #2 will vent 4 times as much air as a Hoffman #75, so two will vent 8 times as much.
The main similarity between the Gorton #2 and the Hoffman #75 is- they cost about the same.
