house pressure

Looking for some ideas on how to boost my house pressure. On an average I'm seeing about 35psi. It is city water, and our last water report indicates the city is losing 1/3 of the water it processes, so I understand why they keep the pressure down. I'm looking for any ideas(hopefully backed by experience) you guys may have. Let's tried to keep it economical, I still can't get my money tree to bloom.
btw- Thanks for all the knowledge you guys have given me in the past couple years that I put to use everyday !

    We have similar conditions...

...so use a pressure booster, which is basically a small (1/2hp) pump and an expansion tank.

I saw a number of outfits at ISH that offered much smaller units with the same rated capacity as the one we have in our new home (which is a Amtrol RP25). Amtrol also has two smaller units. The RP25 has a stated capacity of 25GPM and can boost pressure up to 50psi, depending on the incoming pressure. However, I have no actual experience with any unit since our house isn't done yet. See the PDF files on the Amtrol site for more info, they give you a nice flow curve instead of just making claims at one end or the other.

If I have some time this afternoon, I may be able to dig out my ISH-related literature. However, one company I did see there was the Pressure Booster, which is a very compact system that is allegedly capable of 18GPM @ 30 psi of rise. ITT's systems seemt obe configured for larger installs, as is Lowaras, but I'm happy to be wrong. HTH.

    also

constant pressure units that are compact, but might be a budget buster. They don't need much of an expansion tank as it acts only as a buffer till the variable speed pump catches up to desired flow and eliminates any hydraulic ram upon sudden shut-down (like an ACW valve).
