Taco Air Scoop Location

The old Taco cast iron air scoop directions have the air scoop located before the circulators on the supply side. Some manufacturers piping diagrams have the air scoop located after the circulators on the supply side. Is there any noticeable difference in the two locations and is there any other possible location.

    Put it before the circulator where the pressure is lower...
