Taco Zone Valves

When you place a Taco 3 wire zone valve in the manual position I know that the valve opens and allows water to flow. Does it also close the contact that energizes the circulator/burner relay?
Thanks,

FYI, On the Taco zone valves, the newer gold heads will bring on the boiler or circ. The older green or gold heads will not.0 -
Taco Zonevalves
The Taco Gold series zonevalves have the manual by-pass to allow water to thermo siphon through the loop for heat in the event you should have a power failure. That is what it was designed for. Some people will try to by-pass when the thermostat is still connected which is not recommended. Doing so can be a detriment to the valve, so Taco advocates removing the thermostat wire off terminal one. Additionally using the manual lever does not guaranty closure of the end switch.
