what kind and size of bladder tank

Member Posts: 10
I want to have my bladder tank replaced and want to make sure the correct one is anstalled, I have a submersible pump down in mw well it comes up to a pressurized tank which I want to replace. The current tank works fine but I am renovating my whole house and moving the location and I cant see hooking the 30 year pressurized tank back up. The current tank is a HOYT bladderless tank and it has a sticker on the tank that says the submersible pump is a "SUBMERGA" model 50W1-9BC-2, 5.5 amps, RED JACKET. The pump could of been replaced I am just going on what the sticker syas is in the ground. What size and brand bladder tank should I have installed?

one minute run time minimum
You'll want a tank that offers at least a one minute run time & a longer run time is certainly acceptable. Check the draw-down charts provided by the tank's manufacturer for your pressure range and compare that against the pump's rating for GPM, which will be dependent upon the installation and depth to water in the well for accuracy.
