replacing circulation pump crane boilor in small residential hom

I am unable to find a professional to repair my system. I had a circulation pump that was leaking so I went to granger and bought a pump. After replacing the pressure relief valve builds up pressure and purges. I bled the complete system but when I open the fill faucet too far it keeps building pressure and purging. Should the system be closed? How much do I fill it? There is no fill glass to tell. Help

12 PSI IS GENERALLY THE FILL PRESSURE PROVIDED BY A TYPICAL FB38 PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE. yOUR FILL VALVE MAY BE OVERFILLING CAUSING THE RELIEF TO BLOW. aLSO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PUMP IS PUSHING WATER IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.0 -
drain the expansion tank
you have to drain the expansion tank. It has to be empty before refilling the system. There should be (hopefully) a waste port on the side of the valve in the line going to the tank. Or there may be a plug on the side of the expansion tank drain. You need to get air into the tank to drain the tank completely.0 -
fill pressure
sounds like you don't have an automatic feed valve (like the fb-38) so just manually feed it to 12 lbs and shut the valve. you probably figured that out by now.0
