I'm installing a small radiant job along with a Munchkin install. My question is on the radiant plate installation. This style plate has 2 grooves in it. Should I staple on both sides of the tubing channels , or just in the center of the plate for expansion? Thanks in advance !!!

My systems have always been quiet and I do it that way... Plates can make a heck of a noise!!

All plates are not created equal. If you have two tubes in one plate you must have light weight tin plates? Be very cautious. I don't think wirsbo even sells them anymore. We have used them in the past and had terrible noise even though I stapled them in the middle. We now only use extruded aluminum plates from Thermofin. They transmit heat much more efficiently and they are quiet. Sorry I don't mean to throw a wrench in your plans but I would seriously consider changing the plates before you create a monster. Happy hydronicing! My 2 cents0 -
A transfer plate that you
can't fasten to the floor tightly across it's entire width? Why bother!
If it's not touching, or curls away when the heat hits the plate, you don't have much more than an Ultrafin product
I have used the thin tin, of flashing thickness aluminum, plates when they can be sandwiched between ply or subfloor layers, or locked betweem cement backer board and the subfloor. In this application they get locked in, and the curling and noise is handled. Although the thin gauge does not conduct the heat to the edges like extruded aluminum plates.
Tin is best used for sheetmetal duct work

staple every bit of it that is not firmly in contact with the subfloor. if it bows out a little when you staple it, staple it again. and again. and again, if you need to.
leave room for tubing expansion at the ends, use expansion loops, and use dynamic mixing controls to change system temperature slowly and you should be fine.
