Is this ok
THe guy that put this boiler in came highly recommended and then I noticed he put in a bullhead tee. I know your not supposed to bullhead a tee on steam because I have been reading about.0 -
it doesn`t look bullheaded to me,looks like he took off two supply risers before he dropped in to his eqalizer.
Overall it doesn`t look like a bad job at all, could be a little neater but his piping practice looks ok.

If you're referring to the tee in the circle
that one's OK. Technically it's not a bullhead because the steam only goes out the right side. The pipe on the left side is to return condensate to the boiler. That main has steam and condensate running in opposite directions. We call it a Counterflow main.

the other tee
I am talking about the tee in the top right corner that I circled0 -
Steamhead is right.
That B-H tee is fine. Sort of a dropped header with a drip. All things considered, it's actually a rather nice job IMHO.

mmmmmmm
At least we plumbers can spell.0 -
Unreal
If someone wrote on my new furnace like that, they'd be starting over. Absolutly no reason for that!

Is there a hartford loop on this one?
Or is it not needed in counterflow piping?0 -
I usually
write the date of install in a discreet but easily readable place in the boiler of all my installs....I defintly have better penmanship than that! kpc
