next to youngest son

Is in Iraq, he is doing well so far hops to come
home in 4 more months. He got in a little bit of trouble the other day, told some of the new guys to load back of the jeep wood. His platoon leader asked what the wood was for: he replied "the communications are so bad, thought we could go back to smoke signals". Told him to keep low and let someone else be a hero, I know that is selfish of me.
I hope and pray he comes home alive and well. Maybe you wetheads might say a prayer or two for him.

Peace Be With You

David C. Broome

    It's Not

It's not selfish of you to be a worried parent. You should also be a proud parent beacuse you have a son who put himself in harms way for the good of other people he doesn't even know.

    Good luck

And, tell him thanks for serving. After this job he will be able to put a less than perfect boss in perspective.

Let us pray also for the Iraqis that are under his gun. Just the other day an US soldier was filmed killing an Iraqi who was just lying there bleeding. Let's hope it wasn't your son doing that.

1200 US soldiers have died, but anywhere between 40,000 and 100,000 Iraqis. God bless America!

    Dont you just love this....

Another armchair "American" degrading our forces. In case you didnt realize(or are just too stupid) the men and women signed up for a job. Its not by choice that they are there, but rather obligation. Something I'm sure you know nothing about. Where were you Mary( since your not even honest enough to post your real name) when people were being slaughtered in Iraq by your good friend Saddam Hussein. I'll take a guess here, probably sitting in front of your computer with your giant bag of potato chips and your biggy size soda wondering when your next unemployment check was coming. I'm sure you deserve it because we(the gamefully employed) owe it to you. Right? I'm sure all of America OWES YOU something. Right? Am I close here? Its people like you who sit back and enjoy the freedoms that Mr Broome and his family provide but do NOTHING to contribute. Its free for you(which is the way you like it I'm sure) but it comes with a heavy pricetag for all of our military families. You have got unbelievable gall. Thanks again to Mr. Broome and his family for his sacrifices. We're all pulling for your sons safe return. "Mary" is an ****.

    Remember this \"Mary\"...

Not only did the former leader of that country purposely kill his own people, the insurgents are killing dozens of their own just to try to get one American.

How about the assassination of a great person in the form of the (female) head of CARE for Iraq? Guess that one slipped your mind, eh?

Mary - read this and THINK:

"War is hell, but not the worst of it...the person who thinks that war is meaningless and does not realize the freedoms obtained from the effort are a worse hell..." (Words not exact, and I can't think of the author)

I may disagree with our involvement in Iraq, but I will NEVER agree to what you have written. I come from a long line of military family, and am a veteran myself...how about you, Mary? What have you done for this great country?

God bless our troops, including Brandon Cring...and may God bless the selfless man who helped to raise him.

    Take Care, PJO

    ****?

    Ignorance is bliss!
How many Iraqi's were dying under Saddam's rule?
More than have died in this conflict!
My Brother just came back in August....2 tours
he was with the 1 5 marines. How dare you ask me to think of an enemy combatant! These insurgents play dead then get up and fight from behind. He should have shot him! I would have. People like you should go live in this God foraken country for a while to appreciate what those who have come before and are now doing for this country!
This has been said before and is still true today "Freedom has a price" Pay up Mary!

In the NY area you see many cars with yellow ribbon stickers on them. You may take this as a sign that there are many Americans who appreciate the sacrifices of our troops. Let's hope that in the coming months you will be reunited and all this will fade into the dim past.
