Nothing to it. Just hook up a couple wires and a couple of pipes. Just read the directions.
I spent 4 years as an apprentice, went to night school, spent another two years as a journeyman, just to get a contractors license.
Have maybe $15-20K tied up in tools , a truck stocked with a good amount of $ parts.
I attend every school or seminar or opportunity that I can afford to further my knowledge of the trade. I have 30 years experience in heating/piping related trades.
I read every day something related to this trade. Books magazines the internet etc.
So having said all of that, go ahead, install your damn boiler. Nothing to it, childs play. Buy me a cup of coffee and I will tell you everything in 5 minutes.
If you have no tools and no knowledge you have no business doing something you don't understand. I have no problem helping people, I am compassionate and help out when ever I can. But I do have a problem with people who think there is "nothing to it" and who think we should give away our extremely hard earned knowledge for free.
I work seven days a week sometimes to keep a roof over my head. I DIY more than many people, but I truly have to "earn" the help and advice I get from people in other trades. It ain't always free.
Vaughn, if you have a talent of value to some one in the heating trade maybe you could barter? Over the years I have made friends with electricians , excavators, carpenters, masons, mechanics, etc........
I have met a good deal of the people here that post on the wall. I would say that most would go to great lengths to answer an intelligent or specific question. But, tell me how to install my boiler just pisses me off.
Maybe it just needs a simple repair. Maybe for under a $100 bucks a trained eye could fix you up for one more year. How do you know? Maybe someone at your local supply house could recommend a good honest repair person?
Want to talk about the phone company or the cable company? I lost a day and a half pay waiting them, they don't even offer an apology.
Arrogant? You bet your #@% My father used to call me "God's gift to the drippy faucett"! Looking back , I don't think it was a compliment?

For anyone reading this if you haven't met Bill in person like I have he is a very laid back guy. He isn't arrogant or cocky. So my point is heed his words they make a lot of sense.

Well put Bill
I couldn't agree more. Good to see you back up and running with the "puter".
My grandad the farmer paraphrased an old saying like this........
"What you don't know, WILL bite your a**".
No if's, and's or but's about it, it WILL!0
