Has anyone purchased the McGraw Hill "The HVAC Handbook" for $150.00? If so, your impressions, please? Any other books to particularly recommend for the HVAC service tech?

    HVAC book

Was searching Delmar's website (www.delmar.com)for HVAC books and found one that is part of their Residential Construction Academy series. I picked up a copy. It's full color and covers not only air conditioning, but gas, oil, hydronics, geothermal as well. Well written.

    On the topic

The Residential Construction Academy: HVAC book you are referring to was written as a joint effort between Thomson/Delmar Learning and the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB). The book was written by yours truly and the hydronics chapter was put together with the help of none other than the master of hydronics, Dan Holohan. The book covers air conditioning basics and has chapters on heat theory, heat transfer, high temperature refrigeration (air conditioning), electric, gas and oil heating as well as heat pump systems and hydronics. The hydronics chapter includes primary/seconday as well as radiant systems. The book is available online at Barnes and Noble (www.bn.com) as well as www.amazon.com. Thanks for your help, Dan.
