new min temp for HWT. anyone hear of this?

grapevine, I have heard that in the new year, the min. setting for all new HWT will be 160*F. Anyone heard of this? Has PAH's fight for the public health finally come to fruition?

The info being published by Cash Acme, Watts et al give an overview. The short version is you must store water at 140F average to reduce the chances of Legionella bacteria growth in the water then add tempering to deliver to fixtures (point of source or point of use) at or below 120F.
