Powder coating old radiators
Joe Recht
Member Posts: 2
I think it would look good to sandblast and powder coat some old radiators in an apartment I'm working on. It would also remove any lead paint that may have been applied over the years. Are there any reasons I should not do this?
Thanks for your insight.

No downside at all. Powdercoat is the way to go. Just make sure that the coating people cover the inlets and vent openings before they coat the rads.0 -
Holes should be plugged or covered before sandblasting as well.
Powdercoating is very durable, attractive and easy to clean. It's also a good emitter of radiant energy.
Only downsides are cost and availability.0
