I was asked to obtain an analysis of the quality of the ethylene glycol / water solution in a large chilled water/hot water hydronic system. Is there a lab in the Northeast, or is there a kit? I already checked the ph.

Testing anti-freeze
You should be checking the ph, the concentration, and the inhibitor strength. To check the concentration you will need a refractometer. The glycol supplier will have to check the inhibitor strength for you, so you might as well get them to check the concentration as well.0 -

I'd suggest
sending a sample to the folks at Dow. You will get a very detailed Analysis Report that goes beyond PH and freeze protection. Be a good idea for a large system. 517-636-8713

Coolant Analysis
The lab I manage analysis antifreeze. Our focus in on diesel engine cooling systems but there are many similarities. Attached is a report showing the tests we run. The price is about $30 for Level 2 testing.0
